Searching for school holiday program's freeware.

As activities in ECT move very smooth, I decided to find more freeware as enhancement software for kids to learn computer. I found few such as;
1- BlockCAD- A Lego design Freeware
2- Artrage - Graphic freeware
3-Cyberstart - Mouse maneuver for beginers
4-Minisebrain - Computer for beginers
5-Blender - 3D programming freeware.

I found some of these freeware are very good for School Holiday program, and will suggest in my yearly report.

On 28th of Dec recieved zall from Shah and he instructed me to stay at ECT until 1st of Jan 2010. According to Shah, Ms Linda already recieved email from Mr Wan Azrin and Ms Diana has given the green light for IT Facis to stay.

Lend a hand for ECT.

Based on Shah instruction I, Azna, Siti Salwa and Zuli Mazrina report duty to ECT Taiping on 25th Dec 2009 to help them. ECT expected to recieving 2nd batch group of 60 student as their new family. IT Facis are needed to help with registrationand other preparation.

No Telekom/TM Net at Ladang Getah Trong

On 17 of Dec 2009, I was informed that 2 nights before Telekom cable ware stolen, so SJKT Ladang Getang will be out of reach for about 1 month. Since Telephone, Fax machine and email lines was affected any info pls send via SMS or call my personal number. TQ.

1st day at SJKT Ladang Getah.

On 16 of Dec 2009 I has report duty to Sek Jenis Keb (T) Ladang Getah Trong. The GB not in because she has meeting at PPD LMS. Then the PK1 Cikgu Deva asked me to check my temparory work station which is a computer lab. According to Cikgu Deva only one computer function there.

After that I helped Aci the school cleaner to clean up the computer lab. the lab actually abandon for so many years. there also few old computers, according to school's clerk Pn Shida, those comuters can not be used anymore. then I checked the computer and surprised me it can work very well, then I suggested to GB to let me use the old computers for my lesson until cITaKU's cabin is ready.

Teaching sequence presentation

Today we had presentation about teaching sequence. I explain to IT exec based in Taiping which is Nor Azna, Siti Salwa, Zuli Mazliza, Kamariah and lead IT faci Mr Sharizal about how I conducted my class before. I informed them that, teaching sequence very important because can help to plan their lesson before class started.

I also explained about daily teaching sequence should be different from school holiday teaching sequence. Because basically, school holiday need longer hour, so break is needed. Younger student usually given more than 1 time break.

Teaching sequence very important to help teacher from drag away from lesson goal. I also remained them that our lesson goal is "Students to learn and have fun with computer and technology not teacher to finish lesson or student to play games."

Response recieved are very good.

Presentation: Sample activities and project for MS Excel (standard 4-6)


On 11th Dec 2009, IT exec based at ECT Taiping had a presentation about MS Excel sample for activities and projects. It was based on Mr Sharizal instruction to make a sample for standard 4-6, because I made the samples so I presented it to the class.



The respond was very good. Them asked about how to tackle students, how to start lesson. do we need to explain everything at one time or devided it into few lesson.
I answer it accordingly based on my experience teach computer for kids age 3 to 12 years old. and for further information we decided to ask Mr Sharizal after.
MS Excel samples
Standard 4: Introduction of MS Excel and 3 simple projects.
Standard 5: Introduction of MS Excel Toolbox, 1 simple project, 1 hard project with simple graph.
Standard 6:Introduction to MS Excel toolbox and Pull Down Menu, 1 Hard project with 2 full graph and how to use and add formula into project.

SJKC Chong Hwa's Holiday Program

On 9th Dec 2009 I, Nor Azna, Siti Salwa and Zuli Mazlina went to SJKC Chong Hwa to see and learn how school holiday program conducted. Over there we met Ms Zabidah (Ida) IT Faci for SJKC Chong Hwa.

She then explain a little bit about cITaKU Lab programs, how to create good rapport with students and teachers and also about her holiday program. Ida also remained us about integrity especially when we are working alone.

She is very helpful lady and nice meeting her.
